What's a girl to do?

If you guys haven't noticed, I've been doing a lot of still life stuff and trying to make it interesting and eye catching. I want my portfolio to stand out. I know it's supposed to stand out, but if the subject is different (aka Chompy 1 & Chompy 2) or if I do something different than most would (aka Shake the Glitter where I did the glitter in pen) then maybe people will remember it better.
I would like to thank

for nudging me in the right direction for Anchors Away. I'm always afraid of shading too dark and I think I'll mess it up, but I'm really glad you pushed me to make it look better. Maybe now I won't be as scared to work longer and make my pictures with more contrast.

Thanks so much for believing I could do better! (Even if you deny it and say you didn't do anything, you really did =3)

College?

I have narrowed my choices down to five colleges.

The Lesley College in Boston

The Moore College in Philadelphia

UChicago in Chicago (obviously)

University of Arkansas in Fayetteville

And my safety school Arkansas Tech, Russellville
Yup, you guessed it. I live in Arkansas. That is probably the order in which I want to go them...maybe switch Chicago and UofA. But I'm pretty sure I'll get into at least one of the 5 haha Right now, with my ACTs at 28, I have a full ride to Tech and close to a full ride to UofA. The others, I have no idea. I start applying in September I think? so I'll keep you guys posted!

1st Half of Summer

So, my summer's halfway over and I've done a lot and I still have plans for the rest of the summer. The only thing that really fell through was getting a job, but I'm using my time having fun since no one would hire me lol

Hung out with friends

Went to an Emery concert with my sister

and her bf

Hung out with my grandparents a lot =3

Swimming!!

Basketball

Went to a wedding

Went to the movies

Dedicated a whole week to drawing! lol

Went to Texas for a week

Went to Vans Warped Tour and saw 25-ish bands

Visited a college

Basketball camps

More swimming!

People spend the night!

I'm going to a whole week at my sisters apartment and help her and her bf move in. yay!

That's my summer so far lol Hopefully the fun will continue even when school starts up again on the 19th. (I think it's the 19th)
